Most light manufacturing has long switched to the Far East, but Lita Lighting has €4.6m of orders on its books, writes Tris Dromey.

Dublin-based company Lita Lighting said it is making plans to become the first company to produce domestic lights in Ireland for over 30 years.The manufacture of this type of product has long since moved to the Far East, but Lita Lighting managing director Sean Carty believes there is space and export opportunity for cutting-edge energy-saving LED downlights manufactured in Ireland.
